We invite you to apply for a new electronic course provided on the ILIAS platform of INJ - "Out-of-court mediation for judges”, developed within the project "Commercial Mediation and Arbitration in Moldova" (Phase IV) implemented by EBRD in collaboration with IDLO, with the financial support of USAID.

Training hours: 32 hours.

Participants: judges, judicial assistants, lawyers who provide state-guaranteed legal aid.

Course registration period: August 25 - September 1, 2023.

Active period of the course: 5 - 29 September 2023.

Equipment needed by the student: computer/laptop/tablet, internet connection.

General description of the course:

The e-Course strengthens the professional capacities of judges regarding the application of extrajudicial mediation and consists of five modules aimed at achieving the following objectives:

• familiarization with the evolution of mediation and the normative and institutional framework in the Republic of Moldova;
• identifying cases suitable for examination through extrajudicial mediation and drafting the relevant court documents;
• awareness of the status of the mediator and the advantages of extrajudicial mediation, including for the courts;
• knowledge of how to execute mediation agreements;
• awareness of the role of the judge in promoting mediation.

Certification: Beneficiaries who pass the course will receive certificates issued by INJ.
