ERA training programs, available to INJ beneficiaries

The National Institute of Justice brings to the attention of judges, prosecutors and probation staff two training opportunities on strengthening cross-border mutual legal assistance and the recognition of judgments in the context of detention. They are part of a series of five activities organized by the Academy of European Law (ERA) with the financial support of the European Union.

  • ERA Webinar "Framework Decision 947 - Supervision of probation measures and alternative sanctions"

The event will take place on September 24, 2025, in English, online.

Judges, prosecutors, lawyers and probation staff will explore the provisions of the Framework Decision 947, the roles and responsibilities of the different actors involved in the application of the targeted measures both in the issuing EU member states and in the executing states.

  • ERA Seminar "Framework Decisions 829 and 947 and their impact on alternatives in the EU"

The event will take place on December 4-5, 2025, in Vilnius. The seminar is focused on improving cross-border mutual legal assistance and recognition of detention decisions, with an emphasis on alternatives to detention.

Participation in the seminar is open to judges, prosecutors, lawyers and probation staff. Those selected to participate will have travel and accommodation expenses covered.
