Perspectives of collaboration between the National Institute of Justice and the GIZ Project "EU Integration Support"

The exploration of opportunities for cooperation marked the meeting between the Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, and the representatives of the "EU Integration Support Project", implemented by GIZ Moldova and financed by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany - Laura Cioclea, Sergiu Porcescu and Daniel Goinic. The meeting took place today, April 2, 2025, at the National Institute of Justice.

The new project was presented at the meeting, which aims to provide support to the Moldovan authorities in the European integration process and which will take place over the course of a year. The main directions of the project aim at aligning the national normative framework with chapters 23 and 24 of the community acquis and improving the institutional capacities, including human resources of public authorities, to ensure the sustainability and coherence of integration efforts.

During the discussions, aspects related to the facilitation of the audience's participation in short internships or the AIAKOS Program, as well as the INJ beneficiaries in the training activities delivered by the European Judicial Training Network or the Academy of European Law, were addressed. Special attention was paid to the possibility of organizing study visits for trainers, which will constitute a valuable resource of the Institute by disseminating knowledge and good practices accumulated.

The parties also analyzed other ways of cooperation, such as holding thematic schools or workshops on relevant fields with the participation of foreign experts.
