New resources for individual study available to INJ beneficiaries

Materials for individual study have been supplemented by three new titles to support judges and legal professionals in the effective application of EU legal instruments in their jurisdictions.

EU instruments used in the field of criminal procedure. Improving judicial powers.   The handbook provides guidance on European search warrants, investigation orders, arrest warrants and freezing and confiscation orders, promoting effective tools to fight cross-border crime in the EU, in accordance with the rights guaranteed by European law.

Application of EU legal instruments in the field of civil justice. Consolidation of judicial powers. The manual is addressed to judges handling civil and commercial cases with foreign elements, providing practical guidance for the application of European directives that facilitate the cross-border exchange of information and evidence, in accordance with EU legislation.

Support for independent judges and the rule of law. Consolidation of judicial powers.  The manual analyzes the evolution of the concept of the rule of law in Europe from a theoretical, historical and jurisprudential perspective, offering support to judges in understanding and applying European norms in an increasingly challenging political climate.

The publications were developed within the project "International Judicial Training: Improving Judicial Skills in the Post-Pandemic Reality", implemented by the CEELI Institute in cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Center for Judgment of the University of Silesia, the Association of Croatian Judges and the Association of Polish Judges Iustitia.
