Invitation to participate in the #Justice4Moldova Training Program

The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) invites lawyers interested in increasing the capacity to develop research, policy analyses, legal opinions, as well as strategy monitoring reports in the field of good governance, justice and the rule of law to participate in the #Justice4Moldova Training Program and become members of the Justice Expert Group.

The training program will be organized in the month September 2023, in Chisinau and will include two modules:

  • Module 1 – key concepts, mechanisms and tools for policy development and monitoring, with a particular focus on justice sector policies and
  • Module 2 – tools and best practices in policy advocacy, public communication and effective interaction with national and international stakeholders.

The call is open to lawyers with experience working in civil society organizations, public, academic and research institutions who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, public administration, good governance, human rights or other relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in civil society organizations, bar associations, academia and research institutions;
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in policy monitoring, policy development, writing position papers and public policy research papers in the field of justice, anti-corruption, good governance, human rights or other relevant fields;
  • Motivation to contribute to change and evidence-based policy development;
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, including public communication skills;
  • Fluency in Romanian and English (oral and written). Knowledge of the Russian language is an advantage.
  • Availability for participation throughout the duration of the program.
  • Interest in being part of the Justice Expert Group and conducting policy and legal analysis, monitoring policies and strategies in the field of good governance, rule of law, justice and human rights (December 2023 – February 2026).

Upon successful completion of the training program, three of the participants will be selected as experts of the Justice Expert Group (JEG) and will contribute to research, analysis and reports during the period December 2023 – February 2026.

Each of the three selected experts will benefit from:

  • a part-time service contract for a period of 26 months, for at least 65 working days, with a remuneration of EUR 200 gross/working day;
  • a mentoring program for the development and promotion of public policy documents;

  1. CV in Romanian or English;
  2. Letter of motivation signed, which answers the question why you should be selected to participate in the #Justice4Moldova training program and possibly to be selected as an expert in public policies of the Group of Experts in the field of Justice (300 words in Romanian);
  3. A copy of a recent publication, analysis or report in the field of good governance, justice and anti-corruption policies, prepared by the candidate (in Romanian or English)
