Meeting between the Interim Director of INJ and the Rector of USM

On Monday, May 27, 2024, at the State University of Moldova (USM), the bilateral meeting took place between the interim Director of the National Institute of Justice (INJ), Adrian Cerbu, and the Rector of USM, Igor Șarov.

The dialogue was focused on initiating cooperation between the two institutions in order to excel in the training segment of both USM students and INJ beneficiaries. Thus, topics were addressed regarding the perspective of concluding a memorandum to ensure the implementation of some initiatives and the organization of training activities for representatives in the field of law.

Also, in the context of the increase in recent years of the number of candidates for the positions of judge and prosecutor, as well as of the beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice, the opportunity of outsourcing, with the support of development partners, the process of continuous training of INJ beneficiaries was discussed. The joint use of modern study rooms, equipped technically in accordance with current needs, will contribute to the improvement of the training process in both institutions.

At the end, the parties assumed the commitment for the materialization of the collaboration and the development of an optimal training framework for the training of young lawyers and the improvement of professionals in the legal sector.
