Meeting with the French liaison magistrate with powers for the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the National Institute of Justice was visited by the French liaison magistrate with powers for the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria, Simona Pavel, to have discussions on topics of common interest with the interim Director of the INJ, Adrian Cerbu.

The dialogue was focused on the continuation of the collaboration between the National Institute of Justice and the Liaison Magistrate Service in the field of judicial training. In particular, the opportunity of the transfer of expertise and best practices regarding the training processes of legal professionals and the exploration of cooperation possibilities with the National School of Magistracy of the French Republic was highlighted.

The importance of the support offered by partners to facilitate the participation of the beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice in the professional development activities in the legal field organized by the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) was also mentioned.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue in order to realize the initiatives aimed at the judicial training of the representatives of the justice sector in the Republic of Moldova.
