The National Institute of Justice – part of a new international project to promote transparency and integrity in the judicial sector

The National Institute of Justice is among the beneficiaries of a new project implemented by the International Law Development Organization (IDLO) in collaboration with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) - "Promoting integrity and transparency for a modern justice sector". At the launch event, which took place on Friday, November 15, 2024, the head of the e-training Section of INJ, Tatiana Brumă, participated.

The project will provide support to the National Institute of Justice to optimize its processes in certain segments. Thus, the diversification and modernization of training activities is expected through the introduction of e-capsule modules – short sessions, focused on critical topics, which offer practical solutions and quick access to legal information. A computerized psychological assessment platform will also be developed to improve selection and training mechanisms within the National Institute of Justice. Other planned actions aim to develop a study on the state of mental health of judges, including the aspect of integrity, and the organization of trainings or workshops with foreign experts to contribute to the creation of an adequate and resilient professional environment for magistrates.

The project "Promoting integrity and transparency for a modern justice sector" aims to reduce corruption, increase transparency in all judicial processes and strengthen civic commitment to the institutions of the justice sector in the Republic of Moldova and will last until December 2027.
