Collaboration initiative to strengthen the judicial system in the transposition of the community acquis
On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, had a meeting with the former chief negotiator of North Macedonia, Bojan Maricik, and with the advisers in the office of the vice-prime minister for European integration of the Republic of Moldova - Iulia Cozacenco, Iulian Digor and Victoria Lanovenco.
The main topic of the meeting concerned the initiation of a partnership that would respond to the needs of adapting the justice system to the requirements of our country's accession to the European Union. The ways in which the National Institute of Justice can contribute to the transposition of European legislation into national judicial practice were also discussed, such as effective training programs to ensure the correct understanding and application of the Community acquis by representatives of the legal professions.
During the meeting, the central role played by the National Institute of Justice in preparing judges and prosecutors for the legal challenges of European integration and in strengthening the capacities of the judicial system in this regard was highlighted.
