Specialized training of judges in the field of administrative litigation

Judges from the Supreme Court of Justice, the appeal courts and the trial courts participated, between November 25-27, 2024, in the continuous training sessions dedicated to the implementation of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Moldova.

At the beginning of the event, the head of the Training and Research Directorate of the National Institute of Justice, Ecaterina Popa, and the deputy coordinator of projects for the Republic of Moldova and Georgia from the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation, Anja Finke, addressed a word of welcome to those present.

The seminar, delivered by Klaus Hage, judge and president of the panel at the Minden Administrative Court, aimed to strengthen the knowledge of the magistrates regarding the fundamental principles of the Administrative Code, especially in the matter of transparency, fairness and efficiency in the administrative procedure, as well as familiarizing them with The continuous training guide for the application of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Moldova.

During the training activity, topics were addressed regarding the practical challenges and solutions for the implementation of the Administrative Code, the need for a unified jurisprudence to ensure the consistency of court decisions, methods of streamlining administrative procedures to reduce delays in the decision-making process, improving citizens' access to a fair and transparent litigation-administrative jurisdiction, etc.

We mention that, between December 10-12, the judges specialized in the examination of administrative litigation cases who participated, this fall, in a study visit to Germany, will attend a follow-up session on the implementation of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Moldova.

The organizers of the training activities are the National Institute of Justice and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation.
