The development of a manual on special investigative and counter-informative measures, discussed at the National Institute of Justice
On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Acting Director of the National Institute of Justice, Adrian Cerbu, held discussions with the national advisor of the Operations, Europe and Central Asia Department of the Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance - DCAF, Vadim Enicov. The meeting was also attended by Ecaterina Popa, head of the Training and Research Directorate.
The dialogue aimed at optimizing the capacities of the legal system in the field of authorization and supervision of special investigative measures and counter-informative activities. In particular, several aspects related to the development of a manual of special procedures that will serve as an essential tool for practitioners in the field were addressed. To ensure its relevance and usefulness, round tables will be organized with the participation of judges, prosecutors, criminal investigation officers and trainers of the National Institute of Justice. Consultations and debates at these meetings will ensure a holistic approach and leverage the diverse expertise of the professionals involved.
A number of training activities will also be carried out for members of the working group, such as training sessions, workshops and study visits, to facilitate the exchange of good practices between participants, who will pass on the experience gained.
The Geneva Center for Security Sector Governance – DCAF project in Moldova, started in December 2022, has been expanded with the Justice and Security component and will last until the end of 2028.
