Ecaterina Popa, appointed as interim director of the National Institute of Justice
The National Institute of Justice informs that, in accordance with the legal provisions in force, the Minister of Justice has appointed the new interim director of the INJ.
Ecaterina Popa, head of the Training and Research Directorate within the INJ, takes over the mandate, starting from December 24, 2024, after the members of the Superior Council of the Magistracy terminated the removal from office of Judge Adrian Cerbu for the temporary exercise of the duties of director of the Institute.
We note that, on December 10, the INJ Council launched the competition for the position of director. The selection procedure is ongoing, currently at the application submission stage.
