Two training activities for the beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice, offered by trainers of the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania
Between November 25-29, 2024, a group of beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice - judges, prosecutors and other legal professionals - participated in two training activities held in Bucharest.
The seminars with the generic "Role of the national magistrate in the application of the EU acquis" and "Communication tools and good practices" were delivered by the trainers of the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania.
In the first course, the participants deepened their knowledge about the genesis of the European Union, its institutional structures and sphere of competence. The program also included topics on European legislation, the direct effect and the obligation to interpret domestic law according to EU law, cooperation mechanisms in criminal and civil matters between member states, etc.
The second seminar focused on effective tools and strategies for interaction, including with litigants. The sessions covered aspects of verbal, paraverbal and non-verbal communication, dialogue techniques, advanced active listening procedures, as well as ways to mediate workplace tensions.
The activities were carried out within the project "Assistance in the field of justice - Strengthening the institutional capacity of the National Institute of Justice from the Republic of Moldova", implemented by the National Institute of Magistracy (INM) from Romania and the National Institute of Justice (INJ) from the Republic of Moldova, financed by the Government of Romania - Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Agency for International Cooperation for Development (RoAid).
