The Director of the Academy of European Law, Jean-Philippe Rageade, visiting the National Institute of Justice
The director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, met on Thursday, September 11, 2025, with the director of the European Law Academy (ERA), Jean-Philippe Rageade, who is also a member of the Steering Committee of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration and identifying professional development opportunities for legal practitioners. The meeting was also attended by the head of the didactic-methodical and trainer training section, Cezara-Elena Polisca, and the head of the continuous training section, Octavian Bivol.
During the dialogue, the director of the INJ highlighted the role and mode of operation of the National Institute of Justice, with an emphasis on the need to train professionals from the judicial system to European standards. He also referred to existing partnerships, underlining the importance of international expertise in improving the training process, as well as the benefits of collaborations that bring together European and national experts for a valuable exchange of knowledge.
For his part, the director of ERA spoke about the offer of the European Law Academy for the beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice and the firm desire to support the Republic of Moldova, the Institute and the justice system in the process of joining and consolidating the knowledge of the professional body. Another topic of interest concerned the eligibility of INJ beneficiaries for the ERA scholarship program, aimed at deepening knowledge in European Union law, as well as the possibility of direct use of the Academy's electronic resources.
In conclusion, the research activity was discussed, and Ramona Strugariu invited the director of ERA to join the editorial board of the Journal of the National Institute of Justice.
