Cooperation with the International Organization for the Development of Law, discussed at the National Institute of Justice

At the National Institute of Justice, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the director Ramona Strugariu met with representatives of the project "Promoting integrity and transparency for a modern justice sector" - Irina Lupușor and Vladislava Martin-Sîrbu. Ecaterina Popa, head of the Training and Research Directorate, and Serghei Pivovarcic, head of the Information Technologies Section, also participated in the meeting from the Institute.

The dialogue focused on several directions of collaboration within the project, the National Institute of Justice being one of its beneficiaries. The first was to develop a resilience guide aimed at both legal practitioners and INJ audiences, with a focus on mental health and managing stress in the workplace. Later, based on the guide, training and workshops will be organized, taking into account the demanding nature of the activity of a judge or prosecutor and the importance of increasing professional resilience.

The second component addressed the development of a computerized psychological and behavioral assessment platform, aimed at optimizing the selection mechanisms within the INJ admission and graduation processes, as well as for entering the profession. In this context, functional models and good practices implemented in Romania were analyzed, thus offering a perspective for adapting the existing solutions to the specifics of our country.

Discussions included issues related to the creation and use of e-capsules – digital learning tools recommended by the European Judicial Training Strategy – as well as the need to promote digital literacy among actors in the justice system. At the same time, the importance of the modern technical endowment of the INJ was mentioned, in order to make the training processes more efficient.

The project "Promoting integrity and transparency for a modern justice sector" is implemented by the International Law Development Organization (IDLO) in partnership with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and aims to reduce corruption, increase transparency in all judicial processes and strengthen civic commitment to the institutions of the justice sector in the Republic of Moldova.
