"Combating human trafficking" - a new electronic course available to INJ beneficiaries
Dear beneficiaries of the National Institute of Justice,
We invite you to register for a new e-course „Combating human trafficking”, which will be launched by the National Institute of Justice in partnership with the Human Rights Education Program for Legal Professionals (HELP) of the Council of Europe.
Participants: judges, prosecutors, legal assistants, clerks, court and prosecutors' staff, prosecutor's consultants, state-guaranteed legal aid lawyers, INJ staff/trainers.
Registration period for the e-course: 3 – 11 November 2025. Places are sold out.
Active period of the e-course: November 13, 2025 – December 25, 2025.
Certification: Beneficiaries will receive certificates certifying their participation in this e-course, issued by the HELP and INJ Unit (30 hours of training).
e-Course is structured in 11 modules, which addresses the following: the international and European legal framework, key concepts and definitions, victim identification, assistance and protection, impunity, investigation and prosecution, sentencing, compensation and reintegration. Trafficking in human beings it is a serious violation of human rights and a form of organized crime that requires a coordinated intervention. course strengthens the capacity of practitioners to identify victims, protect them and ensure a proportionate and effective judicial response, offering practical tools, adapted to the intense pace of legal activity, to be applied directly in work situations. The aim of the course is to strengthen an informed professional community capable of implementing legislation effectively, coherently and in accordance with international human rights standards.
The course is interactive, includes ECtHR jurisprudence and can be taken at a flexible pace, adapted to each participant's schedule.

Launch Event: will take place online on November 13, 2025, in the second half of the day. Participants will receive additional information regarding the event agenda and other important details.
