Joint commitment to support the fight against corruption, formalized through an inter-institutional collaboration agreement

The National Institute of Justice is among the signatories The inter-institutional collaboration agreement regarding some measures to support the fight against corruption, initiated by the Ministry of Justice. The event took place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, during the meeting of the Anticorruption Platform attended by the acting Director of the National Institute of Justice, Adrian Cerbu.

Through this strategic document, the National Institute of Justice has assumed important responsibilities in the field of continuous training. Thus, a distinct educational module will be designed, which will integrate the most advanced international practices and tools for preventing and combating criminal phenomena related to corruption and money laundering. Opportunities to support training programs through externally funded projects will also be identified and exploited. A special emphasis will be placed on the professional training of the new prosecutors employed at the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, as well as criminal investigation, investigation, intelligence and security officers and specialists, recently seconded from the signatory institutions.

The inter-institutional collaboration agreement regarding some measures to support the fight against corruption was signed by the Ministry of Justice and 12 other partner institutions with the aim of facilitating cooperation to support the capacity of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office with competent and trained human resources in the detection of crimes and the operative examination of corruption cases.
